Senior Biomedical Scientist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Biomedical Scientist to join our Immunology team at Health Services Laboratories (HSL). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reading slides, running immunoblots assays, and processing samples in the Allergy and autoimmune sections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct immunological tests and assays
  • Review and manage quality control processes
  • Collaborate with the department Quality manager to ensure compliance with UKAS regulations
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Biomedical Scientist
  • HCPC registration and immunology training
  • Competent reading of slides for ANA, ANCA, LKS, Crithidia, EMA, and organ-specific antibodies tests
  • Experience in staff supervision, assay verification, audits, and incident management
