Job Title: Plant Engineer/Fitter

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Engineer/Fitter to join our team at Natural Stone Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative and scheduled maintenance on plant and equipment to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance situations to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Repair and maintain mobile plant and production machinery, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, fans, and machine tools.
  • Conduct general site maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Adhere to Health & Safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Plant Fitter or equivalent role.
  • Good understanding of mechanical installations and their maintenance requirements.
  • Experience in repairing hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, fans, and machine tools.
  • Experience in maintaining heavy equipment and hydraulics.
  • Experience in mining/minerals & extraction or similar industries.
  • C&G or NVQ qualification in a relevant field.

What We Offer:

  • Permanent position, Monday to Friday.
  • 25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays per annum.

Candidates must have the right to work and live in the UK.
