Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Children's Services Administrator to join our team at East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the Education Welfare Service, ensuring the smooth delivery of statutory duties and services to young people.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Education Welfare Service, including data entry, record-keeping, and report preparation.
  • Assist with the coordination of statutory duties, such as attendance monitoring and child protection procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, schools, and other stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures to improve service efficiency.
  • Participate in the support team's rota, working two days per week from County Hall to support effective service delivery.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A good level of education and experience in administration, with a focus on data management and record-keeping.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
