Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Manager to join our client, a Newcastle-based public sector organisation, on an interim basis. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the procurement activities across the organisation, leading a team of procurement professionals and ensuring they are equipped to handle the impending changes in public procurement legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the procurement team and ensure they are up-to-date with the latest public procurement legislation.
  • Develop and implement a procurement strategy that aligns with the organisation's requirements.
  • Oversee the delivery of procurement activities and ensure they are completed in line with organisational needs.
  • Support and develop the existing team through the changes in legislation.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in running a procurement team at a management level within a public sector organisation.
