Job Summary:

Protocol Education is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Science Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Science Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the Science Department and enhancing the learning experience of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lesson Delivery Support: Assist the Science Department in delivering engaging and effective lessons, ensuring a high-quality learning experience for students.
  • Student Support: Provide personalized support to students, both in and out of the classroom, to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Teaching Materials: Help prepare and develop teaching materials and resources, ensuring they are aligned with the Science curriculum.
  • Lab Management: Set up and manage laboratory equipment and experiments, ensuring a safe and efficient learning environment.
  • Tutoring: Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve academic success.
  • Assessment Support: Assist with grading assignments and exams, ensuring accurate and timely feedback to students.
  • Departmental Involvement: Participate in department meetings and school events, contributing to the overall academic environment and student experience.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A passion for science and education, strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or a degree in a science-related field is a plus, but not required.
  • Clearance: The right to work in the UK and has or is willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
