Role Overview
JMC Legal Recruitment is currently seeking an Employment Partner to join their team.
The Employment Division is experiencing growth due to an influx of new work, prompting the need for a new Employment Partner . You will collaborate with fellow partners to advance the department while mentoring and guiding junior team members.
The employment team currently consists of three members and operates under the litigation division, which is a core focus of the firm. You will work closely with the broader litigation team as well as the corporate and commercial departments. The firm has recently seen a significant increase in instructions due to multiple client acquisitions and new partner additions.
As part of this expanding, professional, and dynamic employment team, you will handle a diverse range of industry sectors, resulting in an engaging caseload. You will work with numerous well-known brands and public figures, as well as smaller and larger entities in sectors such as publishing, hospitality, media, technology, app development, OMBs, and foreign companies entering the UK market.
Your responsibilities will encompass both contentious and non-contentious employment matters for both businesses and individuals. The caseload will include, but is not limited to:
- Settlement agreements
- Dismissals
- Restrictive covenants
- Senior executive matters
- Discrimination cases
- Disciplinary actions
- Restructuring
- TUPE
- Corporate support
Candidate Requirements
- You should be an Employment Solicitor with a minimum of eight years PQE (there is no upper limit on experience).
- Proven experience in developing and securing new business is essential.
- A broad range of experience in employment law is required.
- Experience in mentoring and leading junior lawyers is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Competitive and negotiable salary based on your background.
