Role Overview
As a Fitness Operations Leader at The Gym Group, you will assist the General Manager in effectively managing the gym and will act in their stead when necessary. You will have a strong passion for fitness and a desire to engage with our members and teams while promoting our culture. You will exemplify our company values and encourage others to do the same.
Your Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading member engagement initiatives to enhance our in-gym service offerings and improve member satisfaction scores.
- Overseeing and inspiring our team of fitness trainers, motivating them to excel daily while embodying the gym's values.
- Managing our Group Exercise offerings by creating class schedules and training the team for effective delivery.
- Adopting a results-oriented mindset with a focus on enhancing the gym's commercial performance.
- Ensuring high operational standards through effective management of cleaning and maintenance procedures, including coordination with third-party suppliers.
- Maintaining compliance with company Health & Safety policies and completing necessary checks regularly.
- Assisting the GM with administrative tasks such as scheduling, time tracking, and security checks.
- Acting as a keyholder for the gym, supporting the GM and serving as a point of contact during emergencies.
- Providing personal training services within your working hours, managing your schedule and retaining 100% of your earnings without an annual license fee.

- Hold a Level 2 qualification as a Fitness Instructor or are currently pursuing this qualification.
