Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary:

Pertemps Leeds is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team. As a leader in the industry, we take pride in our heritage and products while maintaining a commitment to sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of servo motor systems, including tuning and programming, to ensure precise motion control standards.
  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of 3-phase AC and DC motors and their control systems, handling motor installations, wiring, and connections.
  • Assemble and wire electrical panels in accordance with schematics and wiring diagrams, ensuring compliance with safety records.
  • Carry out both preventive and corrective maintenance on a wide range of electrical and automation equipment.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance activities, adjustments to PLC/HMI systems, and updates to electrical schematics and panel layouts.
  • Work closely with engineering and production teams and offer technical support when needed.

Requirements:

  • In-depth knowledge of servo motor systems, 3-phase AC/DC motors, encoders, feedback systems, panel building, and wiring.
  • Strong foundation in PLC/HMI troubleshooting.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workshop.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to tasks that may require climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
  • A driving license is necessary.
  • A cherry picker license would be an advantage but not necessary.
  • Programming experience would be an advantage but not necessary.
