Level is a dynamic organization dedicated to creating innovative funding mechanisms for nature conservation. We are seeking a seasoned executive to lead our commercial strategy and drive business growth.

Job Summary

We are looking for a strategic thinker with experience in commercial markets and corporate finance to join our team as a Commercial Strategy Lead. This role requires someone who can design and implement commercial strategies that take Level to the next level, while working closely with our Founders and senior management team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization with strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows.
  • Take responsibility for decisions around all investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company's financial strategy.
  • Explore and understand emerging financing mechanisms for nature markets and natural capital creation.
  • Work with the CEO and senior managers to efficiently develop strategic direction of the business and implement effective commercial strategy.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of good accounting practice, financial regulatory issues, and tax.
  • Working knowledge of how to raise capital outside traditional lines of credit.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business accounting, or finance.
  • International finance experience.
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions and investor relations.
  • Professional certification (ex: Certified Public Accountant).
