About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Utilities Operations Specialist to join our team at AWE. As a key member of our Utilities Operations team, you will be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and management of our water and wastewater networks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to plant works teams, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Monitor and react to alarms for plant and systems under your control, expediting notification of failures to relevant stakeholders.
  • Hold Authorised Person appointments and undertake work activities within your appointed area, maintaining high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality.
  • Maintain and promote leadership and oversight of plant upkeep, personnel, and operations within your area of responsibility.
  • Deputise for the Operations Manager when required, issuing and receiving permits to work, and preparing, assessing, and reviewing Safe Systems of Work.
Requirements
  • Technician Apprenticeship or ONC with suitable additional experience.
  • Engineering capability across relevant networks, comprising a range of infrastructure facilities and associated plant and equipment.
  • Experience of working with Water/Waste Water would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to apply, obtain, and maintain the required security clearance for the role.
