About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dermatology Consultant to join our clinical team at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients and contributing to the development of our dermatology services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage your own clinical workload and cover all types of dermatological conditions for two week wait, new and follow-up patients, and ward referrals.
  • Perform minor operations and participate in sector MDT meetings.
  • Contribute to service development and education of staff within the department.

About Our Department

Our dermatology department is a busy and dynamic service that provides care to a large number of patients. We offer a range of clinics led by consultants and specialist nurses, and we are currently developing a tele-dermatology service and a biologics service for our Bolton population.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Entry on the GMC specialist register in Dermatology or eligibility for entry within six months of attaining Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training.
  • MRCP or equivalent.
  • Full GMC registration.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • MD or PhD.
  • A particular interest and expertise in skin cancer diagnosis and treatment.
