Job Title: Cleaning Supervisor

My client, a leading retail company, is seeking a highly skilled Cleaning Supervisor to join their team. As a key member of the facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance across various retail sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the timely and effective completion of all reasonable requests made by your immediate Regional Manager.
  • Undertake comprehensive cleaning in various premises, including bakery equipment, ovens, restaurant areas, and associated facility structures.
  • Responsible for operational performance regarding staff under your control.
  • Supervise the team, ensuring adherence to the company's HR policies, health and safety policies, and applicable Safe Systems of Work.
  • Motivate, train, and develop a flexible team that provides the highest standard of service to our customers while minimizing non-productive time.
  • Accurately record and timely refer timesheets to the head office.
  • Liaise with store managers and staff to help develop and maintain excellent working customer relationships.
  • Occasionally work at locations deemed too far from home, which may result in overnight stays. The company will cover hotel and meal expenses as defined in the expenses policy (currently up to £25 per overnight stay).
  • Complete a weekly roster and provide training and coaching to all staff to ensure they can meet their contract requirements.
  • Seek advice on retraining or disciplinary action if staff fail to operate by the necessary Safe System of Work or breach health and safety policies.
  • Deal with customer complaints, referring them to your direct line manager.
  • Ability to liaise with employment agencies and HR and payroll departments.
  • Full driving license with minimal endorsements essential.
