About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our client, a leading retail fit-out company in the UK. As a Temporary Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the site, overseeing all activities, and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Site Management: Oversee all retail site activities, monitor progress, and take remedial action where necessary to protect the company's contractual position.
  2. Handover Preparation: Prepare full handover each night ready for the day site manager.
  3. Quality Control: Monitor and inspect the quality of work to ensure high standards are achieved and address any issues with sub-contractors and trades.
  4. Issue Identification and Resolution: Identify potential issues that may affect successful project delivery and take necessary action to remedy the situation or escalate as appropriate.
  5. Performance Management: Manage the performance of direct reports and sub-contract labor, ensuring they are working safely and efficiently.
  6. HSQE Standards: Ensure our health, safety, quality, and environmental standards are understood, implemented, and adhered to at all times.
  7. Corrective Action: Take corrective action on any breach of policy to ensure a safe site, free of accidents and incidents.
  8. Sub-Contractor Coordination: Coordinate the activities of different sub-contractors to ensure work is carried out efficiently and oversee performance to ensure work is completed on schedule and to the right standard.

Certifications and Requirements:

As a Site Manager, you must have retail fit-out experience and hold the following certifications:

  1. SMSTS
  2. First Aid
  3. PASMA
  4. Fire Marshal
  5. Asbestos Awareness
  6. PCMP
  7. CSCS
