About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fair Trading Officer to join our team at Derby City Council. As a key member of our Fair Trading & Product Safety team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our city's businesses and consumers are protected and supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enforce trading standards and consumer protection laws to ensure a fair and safe trading environment.
  • Investigate complaints and take enforcement action against businesses that breach trading standards and consumer protection laws.
  • Work with businesses to provide guidance and support on compliance with trading standards and consumer protection laws.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve consumer awareness and education on trading standards and consumer protection.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to achieve our goals and objectives.
