The Role:

As an Audit Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of client portfolios, maintaining the highest standards in technical work. You will lead audits from the initial planning stages through to completion, collaborating closely with senior managers and trustees in the charity sector to navigate and resolve audit challenges. Your skills will be vital in overseeing a variety of clients, including registered charities, social enterprises, community benefit societies, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and Charitable Incorporated Organizations (CIOs), with turnovers typically ranging from £1 million to £20 million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the audit process, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead audits from planning to completion, ensuring all technical work meets the highest standards.
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with charity senior managers and trustees to address audit challenges.

Qualifications:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified with substantial experience in leading audits within a professional services environment, particularly in the charity and non-profit sectors.
  • Strong understanding of UK GAAP and the Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP).
  • Proven expertise in accounting and auditing standards, with a focus on industry specifics.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of fostering strong relationships at all levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring precision in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
