Job Title: Employment Counsel

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Employment Counsel to join our team at Publicis Re:Sources Global. As an Employment Counsel, you will play a key role in advising our UK business units on all employee-related legal issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head of Employment Law UK in advising on employment law matters, including performance management, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling.
  • Support our UK agencies to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, managing key legal risks and liaising with other legal advisors as needed.
  • Provide day-to-day HR support, advising on issues such as restrictive covenants, mobility clauses, and employment litigation.
  • Draft and review key employment/HR precedents, agreements, and policies, ensuring they comply with best practice.
  • Assist with the management of employment litigation and dispute resolution, working closely with external counsel.
  • Ensure our agencies are kept updated with employment/HR developments, providing relevant training on key legal issues.
  • Support the Groupe Legal Department (International) on employment/HR issues and initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of PQE in employment law, with experience of advising on English and Welsh employment law.
  • Significant experience of advising on employment law matters within private practice and/or in-house, including project management experience of large-scale initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and succinctly.
  • Solid planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Sound legal judgement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to deliver clear, succinct, and pragmatic advice.
