Principal or Associate Mechanical Engineer – Operational Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal or Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Construo. As a key member of our Operational Engineering team, you will collaborate with our experts to deliver high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice on mechanical and electrical services in existing buildings.
  • Lead refurbishment and upgrade projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Conduct condition surveys and produce detailed reports to inform project decisions.
  • Develop and deliver mechanical designs and specifications that meet the highest quality standards.
  • Lead mechanical services design on large projects and overall MEP on smaller projects, ensuring seamless integration with other disciplines.
  • Manage project teams, mentor junior staff, and ensure technical accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong technical knowledge in Mechanical Design Engineering, with a focus on building services.
  • Experience in surveys, site inspections, and commissioning, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Ability to manage projects through all RIBA stages, with excellent project management and leadership skills.
  • Consultancy experience, with excellent client-facing skills and a strong understanding of client needs.
  • Chartered engineer or close to obtaining chartered status, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
