We are excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Team Leadership Assistant Manager.
The Team Leadership Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in assisting Social Workers within the Children in Care division. This position involves working closely with children in care to ensure compliance with statutory obligations. Additionally, you will support the team in the discharge of care orders, Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs), and parenting assessments, with the aim of facilitating reunification when feasible.
The ideal candidate will also engage in strategic planning to transition children from residential settings to foster care or suitable post-16 accommodations. Responsibilities include supporting collaborative practices across agencies, leading meetings, supervising staff, and providing assistance to young individuals at heightened risk of exploitation. A manageable caseload will be maintained.
Emphasis will be placed on adopting the Hampshire Approach, ensuring that the voices of children are prioritized and their perspectives are documented.
It is essential that you possess a genuine commitment to enhancing our service. The role demands an individual with enthusiasm and determination to improve the outcomes and lived experiences of children. Experience in statutory social care practices involving children, young people, and their families is required.
You will be expected to uphold and ensure the highest standards of practice. A recognized social work qualification and registration with Social Work England are mandatory. The ability to work from the office and travel as necessary is vital. A hybrid working model is encouraged, allowing for some office days each week, along with the option of a 9-day fortnight.
