Role Overview

The primary objective of this position is to perform both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks (encompassing electrical and mechanical work) to enhance the reliability, efficiency, and safety of our production facilities and equipment. All tasks will adhere to food safety regulations and Health & Safety standards, enabling our production teams to achieve their performance targets regarding time, cost, and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and address breakdowns promptly and cost-effectively to meet production goals.
  • Conduct planned preventative maintenance, including site facilities and fabrication, to minimize production interruptions.
  • Effectively communicate technical and operational challenges to relevant departments.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of breakdowns and planned maintenance activities using the CMMS.
  • Promote and uphold safe working practices, ensuring Health & Safety standards are never compromised.
  • Engage in Continuous Improvement initiatives, applying a logical approach to engineering and operational challenges while adhering to legal compliance.
  • Assist in identifying spare parts requirements and managing stock levels as necessary.
  • Execute tasks without compromising food safety or legality.
  • Meet daily service expectations for both external and internal customers while ensuring compliance with audit standards.
  • Participate in various projects, from machinery upgrades to construction tasks.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with packaging machinery.
  • Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
  • HACCP Level 2 training.
  • 18th Edition Electrical Qualification.
  • Energetic and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Self-driven and motivated.
  • Adaptable and flexible mindset.
  • Collaborative team player.
