About the Role

The Care Assistant role at Home Instead is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of older adults in our community. As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to enable our clients to live independently and maintain their dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation and medication management
  • Encourage clients to engage in activities that promote physical and mental well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the office team to ensure seamless care delivery
  • Participate in on-call duties on a rotational basis

Requirements

  • Experience in supporting older adults, with a minimum of 1 year required
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care required
  • Passion for supporting others and finding creative ways to improve a person's life
  • Reliable, trustworthy, compassionate, and respectful
  • Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English
  • Available to work every other weekend
  • Driving license necessary for working in surrounding areas
