Job Title: Rotating Equipment Specialist

TV Rheinland is a leading provider of technical services worldwide, offering a broad range of testing, inspection, and certification services to ensure the safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance of engineering assets throughout their lifecycle.

We are seeking a skilled Rotating Equipment Specialist to join our team at our Belasis office. As part of the TUV family, Risktec Resourcing has been tasked to assist our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS) in recruiting for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specify and review equipment designs, selections, ratings, and specifications for new projects, including existing equipment modifications.
  • Develop and deliver training courses for internal company development and public courses for external training.
  • Develop and introduce new technologies and innovative ideas to address business challenges and enhance equipment reliability, availability, and performance.
  • Contract management: identify variation requests to support contract claims, assist with contract proposal production, and ensure quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost.
  • Risk and opportunity management: support risk assessments and implement resulting actions, document and handle technical risks according to mitigation guidelines.
Requirements:
  • A master's degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized and approved program.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Rotating Equipment within refineries, chemical plants, gas plants, or similar facilities.
  • Alternatively, experience in a design role within an engineering contractor at senior level will be considered.
  • Can demonstrate experience in analyzing performance, troubleshooting, selecting, and repairing rotating equipment, including auxiliary components such as seals, bearings, and lube oil systems.
  • Must submit at least two recent engineering reports or case histories on the subject of rotating equipment authored by you.
  • Clean UK Driving Licence.
