About the Role:
The Mechanical Engineering Function at "敌湯牡潤" is seeking a skilled Fluid Dynamics Engineer to join their team. As a Fluid Dynamics Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting fluid dynamics pressure analysis and test, communicating results, and advising on pressure engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assess mechanical designs for pressure performance and safety against regulatory and customer requirements using circuit diagrams, statements of safe working limits, pressure analysis software, CFD techniques, and classical hand calculations.
- Support the selection of manufacturing technologies and materials based on a sound understanding of mechanical engineering and performance of the product.
- Generate and maintain technical files under data management control and generate reports for approval.
- Verify and check design data and change notices for equipment.
- Support the pressure aspects of product development through design, test, risk management certification, and in-service support within budget and timescales.
- Local management of laboratory pressure test equipment and maintenance, including support to production pressure test facilities.
- Support laboratory management in promoting safe working, including local area risk assessments and control of substances hazardous to health, in accordance with Safety, Health, and Environmental legislation.
Requirements:
- Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Proven knowledge of Fluid Dynamics or Pressure analysis and previous experience in developing equipment for extreme operating environments, preferably in the design, development, and test of electronics packaging.
- Use of Computational Fluid Dynamics and Pressure analysis software.
- Experience of environmental testing methods for design verification is desirable with knowledge of industry standards.
- Knowledge of Legislation and Regulatory Standards, including Def Stan 00-970, Health and Safety HSE Regulations, Pressure Equipment (Safety) Regulations, Pressure System Safety Regulations, and Environmental legislation.
- Demonstrate a high level of practical workmanship skills in the assembly, test, and repair of small mechanical and fluid devices, including tool control and recording of such work.
- Knowledge of requirements for equipment inspection for safety compliance, including generation of fault/failure reports.
- Business-focused with the ability to make effective trade-offs – cost, quality, and schedule.
