Senior Pathologist Job Description

Labcorp is seeking a highly skilled Senior Pathologist to join our team in Harrogate, UK. As a leading contract research organization, we provide comprehensive drug development solutions for a range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting and interpreting pathology data from all types of toxicity studies
  • Conducting work in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, including GLP
  • Supervising necropsies and advising on dissection, sampling, and preservation of tissues
  • Performing microscopic evaluation and interpretation of tissue sections from toxicology studies
  • Compiling pathology narrative reports and communicating findings to study directors and clients
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience in laboratory animal pathology
  • Demonstrated expertise in evaluating pathology data from acute, subchronic, and chronic rodent toxicology studies
  • Ability to work with other scientists and staff to address scientific issues relating to pathology
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
Education:
  • Veterinary degree or equivalent
  • FRCPath or equivalent qualification
