The Role:As an HGV Class 2 driver, you will be responsible for delivering pallets to and from customers in the East London/South Essex areas. Your duties will include:
- Driving company vehicles as required and being flexible to perform other transport-related duties
- Collecting or delivering pallets to and from customers in the local area
- Ensuring all goods are secure when loaded
- Using a pump trunk to load or unload freight from the vehicle when necessary
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid C or CE licence
- Excellent communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Health and safety awareness
- Previous experience in the pallet industry (advantageous)
- Knowledge of driving laws and working time regulations
- Sound geographical knowledge
- Understanding of vehicle maintenance
