Job Title: Apprentice Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Nicholas Associates. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for providing essential frontline reactive maintenance services to our site, swiftly identifying and addressing root causes to restore equipment to full operational status.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out Planned and Preventative Maintenance to agreed schedules.
  2. Ensure effective handover of information across shifts.
  3. Use PMS to support prioritisation and problem solving to diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical/Electrical equipment.
  4. Observe, recognise and report on machinery or component defects or symptoms of impending failure and provide CMMS data.
  5. Lead shift-based problem solving where corrective actions are not clear.
  6. Use and support departmental programmes for workshops and stores workplace management.
Requirements:
  1. At least 2 years experience in engineering based operational efficiency programmes.
  2. Experience in a similar role supporting Site Strategy for Quality/HS/EMS/Engineering.
  3. Experience supporting improvement activities/events within facilities and engineering owned areas.
  4. Experience delivering on-the-job training to new colleagues.
  5. NVQ Level 3 qualification - Mechanical and/or Electrical Bias.

Salary/Shifts: 4 on 4 off - Days £46-50K OR Nights £52-56K, commensurate with experience
