Job Description

As a Mechanical Test Engineer at HPCareers Limited, you will be responsible for implementing tests to validate our products according to relevant specifications. You will develop new or modify current tests and rigs to meet changing customer requirements, ensuring the integrity and quality of tests conducted. Your role will also involve compiling test reports, analyzing results, and approving reports compiled by Test Technicians. Additionally, you will assist other departments in selecting suitable tests where unspecified.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare heat exchangers and acquire data via DAQ systems for discussion with customers.
  • Work with suppliers to specify and acquire new capital equipment.
  • Organize external maintenance work and liaise with contractors.
  • Mentor Test Technicians.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and calibrated to necessary standards.
Requirements
  • Automotive Engineering qualification and experience.
  • Practical aptitude with good knowledge of general engineering skills and abilities.
  • Test rig problem-solving capability.
  • Test set up, product instrumentation, data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Fatigue analysis (nCode).
  • Capability in strain gauging, vibration analysis, measurement transducers, and LabVIEW programming.
  • Project management experience (new equipment).
