Job Summary
This role is an exciting opportunity to work with Dorset HealthCare, a leading healthcare provider, in partnership with The Prince's Trust to support individuals with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. As a CYP-IAPT Trainee, you will be part of a dynamic team delivering high-quality care and support to young people and their families.
Main Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Assessing, planning, delivering, and evaluating treatment for young people with learning disabilities and autism spectrum disorder
- Supervising and mentoring students on clinical placements
- Developing and maintaining relationships with young people, families, and other stakeholders
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- RMHN qualification and experience in mental health
- Experience of assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of treatment
- Supervised experience gained during clinical placements
- Ability to mentor students and develop relationships with young people and families
- Knowledge and experience of Eating Disorders
- Ability to use IT to support communication and teaching through the use of presentation software
- Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English, adequate to enable the post holder to carry out the role effectively
