Job Title - Senior Planning Officer

Job Overview:

  • Key Responsibilities: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planning Officer to join our team at Alois Technologies Limited. As a Senior Planning Officer, you will be responsible for carrying out monitoring functions for the Planning Service and producing reports analyzing the results, including monitoring the Local Plan.
  • Main Purpose of Job: You will provide good quality and up-to-date advice on planning policy issues, undertake research in connection with planning policy, and assist in the preparation of local development plan policy, supplementary planning documents, and other local development documents.
  • Key Skills and Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to have a demonstrable understanding of UK town planning procedures, proven experience in planning policy work, and experience in public participation/engagement. Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute is also highly desirable.

About the Role: As a Senior Planning Officer, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking planning monitoring and producing reports, including the Authority Monitoring Report, Annual Infrastructure Funding Statement, and five-year housing land supply statement on a regular basis.
  • Carrying out research and analysis and providing relevant information to customers.
  • Preparing reports and draft policies in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Keeping up to date in terms of national and local planning legislation, policy, and guidance.
  • Providing policy advice and information to stakeholders.
