Job Opportunity: Assistant/Quantity Surveyor

Abatec Recruitment is seeking a skilled Assistant/Quantity Surveyor to join a regional civil engineering business in the South West region. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a company that operates in a regulated environment with a high level of job security.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records, control and reconcile costs and value, report variances against agreed performance, compliance and finance targets.
  • Administer subcontract accounts and take control of change management.
  • Be involved in a review of current procedures and processes and assist in the implementation of new and revised processes where required.
  • Responsible for all pre and post contract duties.
  • Draft and negotiate NEC forms of contract.
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
Requirements:
  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • Experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor ideally within utilities.
