Join our team as an Apprentice Transport Planner and take the first step in your career in transportation planning. As an Apprentice Transport Planner, you will be responsible for developing and managing transport schedules and routes to optimize efficiency, cost, and time.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and manage transport schedules and routes to optimize efficiency, cost, and time
- Use transport planning software to determine the most efficient routes
- Adjust routes and plans based on traffic, weather, or other unforeseen conditions
- Analyze transport data, including costs, efficiency, fuel usage, and environmental impact
- Provide regular reports on transport performance, including KPIs like on-time delivery, cost per trip, and fuel efficiency
- Collaborate with drivers, warehouse teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth transportation operations
- Liaise with local authorities or regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with transportation laws and safety regulations
- Experience within a Transport Planner role for at least 2 years
- Competitive salary of £27,000 per annum
