The Prep Paint Technician is a critical role within ABL 1Touch, responsible for ensuring the repair of motor vehicles meets industry standards.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Inspect and repair vehicle structures and paintwork to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify and report any defects or faults.
- Remove and store vehicle components, fluids, and gases as directed by work orders.
- Dispose of vehicle components and fluids in accordance with company procedures.
- Perform quality control checks on all repairs, with final sign-off.
- Report any faults or defects noticed during vehicle repairs.
- Ensure repair methods are documented and displayed with the vehicle at all times.
- Interpret and implement technical service instruction data.
- Order replacement parts and record usage.
- Apply paint mixing schemes, computerized scales, spray booths, and drying lamps to achieve high-quality paint repairs.
- Apply topcoat to manufacturer's specifications.
- Prepare repaired areas for topcoat application.
**Requirements:**
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair and paint techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment.
