About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Design Engineer to join our team at Orion Electrotech. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering rail projects on time and within budget, adhering to relevant legislation and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate the design process for rail projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Lead a team of technicians to support project deliverables, including the preparation of designs, risk assessments, and project documentation.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to ensure project progress and identify potential risks.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including drawings, risk assessments, cost estimates, and feasibility studies.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure performance, competence, and training needs are met.
Requirements
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with a relevant institution (PWI, ICE, IStructE).
  • Civil or structural background with a strong understanding of railway design processes.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
