SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with additional learning needs in a Primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with children who have mental health difficulties, display challenging behaviour, or learning disabilities such as Autism.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support children with SEN in a 1:1 setting.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive support plan is in place for each child.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children with SEN, promoting their social and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a Primary school setting.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, teachers, and other support staff.
  • A degree graded 2:2 or above, preferably in a relevant field such as Education or Psychology.
