About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Developer to join our internal IT systems development team at Matched. As a Senior Web Developer, you will play a key role in designing, coding, testing, documenting, maintaining, and supporting web-based applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop web-based applications using PHP, NodeJS, and other relevant technologies.
  • Contribute to requirements, design specifications, and technical documentation to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Research emerging technologies and products, recommending suitable solutions and planning implementation.
  • Participate in agile development project planning, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support architectural decisions and lead code reviews.
  • Coach and mentor junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of commercial software development experience using PHP.
  • 1+ years of commercial experience using NodeJS.
  • Experience in coaching or mentoring, with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience leading code reviews and supporting architectural decisions.
  • Beneficial experience using Symfony, Object-oriented techniques, and relational databases (MySQL or Postgres).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative approach to develop and maintain professional working relationships.
