Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Part-Time Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for supervising a team of accountants, managing client relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
  • Statutory Accounting: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting regulations and standards.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor and manage the financial performance of the team, making recommendations for improvement.
  • Staff Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  • Performance Management: Develop and implement performance management systems to drive excellence and productivity.
  • Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of the company's strategic plan, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Compliance and Quality Control: Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards, maintaining a culture of excellence and compliance.
  • Team Leadership: Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting collaboration and open communication.
  • Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Management Accounting: Provide expert advice on management accounting practices, ensuring the effective management of financial resources.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations and standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in practice, with a strong background in accounting and taxation.
  • ACCA/ACA qualified or qualified by experience.
  • Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context.
  • Strong IT and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Previous managerial experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • The ability to plan and manage the work of the team, with a portfolio of circa 330 clients.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain high standards of quality and accuracy.
  • Sound commercial awareness, with the ability to manage budgets and make informed decisions.
  • The ability to nurture and strengthen existing client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion.
