Job Summary:

Parker Drilling is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team in the Machine Shop. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of our yard, coordinating and storing returned tubulars, and assisting with general operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Parker Drilling's Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures.
  • Operate forklifts and cranes to move materials as needed.
  • Manage the phosphate tank and bead blast unit.
  • Sort and store materials in designated bays.
  • Process goods received and submit documentation to the office.
  • Liaise with the Rental Department to clarify equipment inventory.
  • Coordinate the load-out of customer and Rental equipment.
  • Ensure all stacks are in a safe condition.
  • Assist the Yard Foreman in managing the yard effectively.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties inside and outside the Machine Shop.
  • Apply relevant identification as per work instructions.
  • Conduct post-inspection checks to ensure all swarf is removed from products and necessary coatings are applied.
  • Load and unload materials and tools from deliveries, verifying relevant paperwork is submitted to the office.
  • Stencil ID numbers on incoming tools for identification.
  • Perform additional duties as required within the job holder's area of competence to meet company needs.

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Forklift License
  • Secondary School Education or equivalent
  • Banksman Slinger
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Inventory Management
  • Manual Handling
  • Strong Verbal and Written Skills
