Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter/Fire Door Installer to join our team at PiLON, a leading provider of construction services in the social housing sector. As a Fire Door Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing fire-rated flat entrance doors and upgrading existing flat entrance doors in the South-West and South-East London areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install fire-rated flat entrance doors and upgrade existing flat entrance doors
- Perform door adjustments, replace hinges, and install intumescent strips and smoke seals
- Conduct fire stopping behind door frames
- Work at heights and in confined spaces
- Meet project deadlines and quality standards
Requirements:
- NVQ level 2 in Carpentry and Joinery
- Valid CSCS card
- Right to work in the UK
- Asbestos awareness training
- Good English language skills
- UK driving license and own vehicle
Desired Qualifications:
- Firas Certified or BM Trada in fire door fitting
- Manual handling certification
- Working at height certification
- Experience in passive fire stopping (training provided)
