Job Title: Civil Structural Designer

Salary: £53,928
Role Overview:
As a Civil Structural Designer, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of engineering projects. Your expertise will contribute to various stages of infrastructure development, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare planning applications, adhere to building regulations, and create detailed designs for highways, drainage systems, and structural components.
- Generate comprehensive drawing packages, including design calculations, to deliver cost-effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct land and building surveys to inform design decisions.
- Offer structural design guidance and technical expertise to support construction initiatives.
- Assist the delivery team and clients in meeting their design responsibilities under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
- Ensure all designs comply with client requirements and current regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Essential:
- A degree, HNC, or HND in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Thorough understanding of the 2015 CDM Regulations.
- Hands-on design experience in the construction sector, preferably with a focus on industrial projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Capability to design from foundational principles.
Desirable:
- Membership or progress towards membership in a relevant Professional Engineering institution.
- Experience in a design consultancy role.
