Job Opportunity for Freelance Interpreters

We are seeking highly skilled freelance interpreters to join our team at Language Empire. As a leading provider of interpreting and translation services, we offer a unique opportunity for individuals to work with various public and private organizations across the UK.

Job Summary

We are looking for freelance interpreters to work on a self-employed basis, providing high-quality interpreting services to clients in various settings, including the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation, and other public and private organizations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret for individuals using legal, health, and local government services
  • Verify the non-English speaker's understanding after each sentence
  • Conduct conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
  • Handle highly confidential information
  • Liaise between service users and providers

Requirements

  • Fluent in English and another language
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Aged 21 or over
  • Formal qualifications in interpreting or translation, such as DPSI, Community Interpreting, or a degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages
