The primary responsibilities will encompass overseeing and managing a designated segment of the project, focusing on a specific area of expertise. You will lead a team of Section Engineers and Site Engineers within the same field, tasked with the design and construction of a new dual carriageway, including essential earthworks, drainage systems, access roads, structures, and utilities.

Additionally, we have further openings across various regions in our civil engineering, highway, and major construction teams.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities

Evaluate Method Statements and Risk Assessments, implementing enhancements as needed Lead investigations into accidents and incidents Conduct trend analyses to identify areas for improvement based on audits and near misses Perform field audits to ensure the adequacy of control documentation Develop and enforce Permits to Work, particularly for confined spaces and hot works Possess a solid understanding of temporary works and their implementation timelines

Engineering Oversight

Mentor and guide team members in technical specifications and setting out techniques Assist team members in resolving construction challenges, leveraging experience and industry best practices

Quality Assurance

Take ownership of the entire process of producing, reviewing, and submitting Handover Documentation Implement systems and procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications Analyze trends to identify areas for non-conformance and opportunities for business improvement Conduct independent inspections of both your section and others Perform site audits to verify compliance with work and documentation standards Provide coaching to less experienced staff Collaborate with designers to resolve technical challenges

Commercial Management

Keep a detailed diary, including communications with external parties Develop budgets based on the resourced program and monitor weekly expenditures Participate in subcontractor procurement Oversee subcontractor activities Understand financial aspects of the project

Productivity Management

Create a fully resourced stage program in the accepted format Monitor KPI compliance and recommend system improvements to enhance team productivity Establish and track production metrics to visually represent project status and identify intervention needs Ensure alignment between section programs and overarching project timelines
