Job Description

Reed Accountancy is seeking an experienced Part-Qualified Accountant to join their team in Belfast City Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial management of the organisation, including budget management, centralised reporting of project financial information, and management of project cashflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Manage the organisation's financial resources, including budgeting and cashflow management.
  • Claim Submissions: Prepare and submit claims to the external project controller, ensuring eligibility of project-related expenditure and liaison with the external project controller.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare consolidated financial reports and assist in the preparation of Annual Accounts, in line with Government Accounting standards for submission to the Northern Ireland Audit Office and Companies House.
  • Financial Month End: Assist with financial month end on a timely basis, including preparation of financial reporting packs for key stakeholders.
  • Financial Management and Reporting: Ensure that the organisation fulfils its financial management and reporting commitments.
  • Advice and Support: Provide advice to project partners on all programme rules and procurement activities in accordance with relevant guidelines/legislation.
  • Project Coordination: Support management team in the co-ordination and cascading of project outcomes to intermediate and lower-level operational plans and targets.
  • Corporate and Delivery Plan: Assist in the development and implementation of Corporate and Delivery Plan.
  • Ad Hoc Requests: Facilitate ad hoc requests from the Senior Management Team and Board for project reporting.
Requirements:
  • Professional Qualifications: The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Chartered Accountants Ireland, The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland, The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, The Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy, or The Institute of Certified Public Accounts in Ireland; or equivalent.
  • Accounting Technician: A Fully Qualified Accounting Technician.
