Job Summary:

The Human Resources Manager will lead the site HR team, providing full HR responsibility across a busy site. This role requires close collaboration with the operational site leadership team to ensure a solid, effective HR service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with, lead, and support the site HR team to deliver a professional and effective HR service.
  • Support and coach managers on HR best practices, developing leadership abilities and self-awareness.
  • Manage and develop employee performance, maintaining high standards.
  • Ensure legal compliance across the site.
  • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring the right skills and experience are achieved through effective resourcing and talent management.
  • Improve employee engagement, including employee wellbeing.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Implement HR policies and procedures consistently, ensuring compliance.
  • Manage the training and development budget.

Requirements:

  • CIPD level 5 qualification.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a leading HR position, managing an HR team with site responsibility.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with operational site leadership teams.
  • Good business acumen and a genuine interest in site business and processes.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment (blue/white collar) is ideal.
  • Exposure to a broader HR role, with involvement in various key areas of HR.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels and good emotional awareness.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • A 'can-do' attitude, with a focus on innovation and teamwork.
