Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessing, measuring, casting, fitting, delivering, reviewing, and adjusting prostheses as required across a range of amputation levels.
  • Managing patient expectations, ensuring needs are respected and that the patient is kept fully informed.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical notes and records.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Portfolio.
  • Participating in postgraduate training courses arranged by the company or local centre.
  • Attending meetings and conferences.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Prosthetics and Orthotics, or equivalent.
  • HCPC registration.
  • BAPO or ISPO (desirable).
  • Experience in lower limb prosthetics.
  • Experience in delivering a range of prosthetic clinics.
  • Experience or desire to be involved in audit or service evaluation.
