Job Description:

We are currently recruiting for experienced Class 1 HGV drivers on behalf of our client in the logistics and supply chain industry. As a Class 1 HGV driver, you will be responsible for trunking goods to client stores throughout the UK, working out of your Regional Distribution Centre (RDC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hold a valid Class 1 / C+E License
  • No more than 6 points on your driving license (no DD's, DR's, TT's or IN's)
  • Hold valid Tacho and CPC cards

Working Conditions:

  • Working for a fast-growing business in the Midlands, our client offers new modern trucks and opportunities to gain experience
  • 40-55 hours per week (on average)
  • Immediate start available
  • 2 hour assessment required (unpaid)
  • Induction (paid)

Shift Patterns:

  • PM Sunday to Thursday and Tuesday to Saturday
  • AdHoc shifts with different start times and shift patterns may be considered

Pay and Benefits:

  • PAYE Dynamic rates
  • Days between 06:00 - 22:00 £19.00 per hour
  • OT after 8h daily £28.50 per hour
  • Nights between 22:00 - 06:00 £20 per hour
  • Saturday £21.00 per hour
  • Sunday £22.00 per hour

Additional Benefits:

  • 28 days accrued annual leave per annum (roughly 2.5 days a month)

Requirements:

  • At least 6 months road experience on Class 1 required
