Job Title: Device Development Scientist
Location: Global
Contract: 12 months
Pay: £24.94 per hour
About the Role:
SRG is seeking a highly skilled Device Development Associate Scientist to join their busy team in the pharmaceutical industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hands-on testing of devices to generate data on selected parameters, adhering to agreed protocols and methods.
- Develop and implement test methods, experimental plans, and troubleshoot as needed.
- Operate laboratory equipment according to SOPs, manuals, methods, and risk assessments.
- Manage ISO 13485-related laboratory tasks, including change control, instrument compliance, inventory control, and troubleshooting.
- Perform visual inspections of devices returned from clinical studies, following agreed protocols and methods.
- Ensure familiarity with relevant documentation (SOPs, instruction manuals, risk assessments, etc.) to conduct experimental and manufacturing activities in accordance with approved safe working practices and GMP/GLP procedures.
Basic Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant science or bioengineering subject.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory environment.
Desirable Attributes:
- Previous experience working with device control systems and device testing.
- Experience working in teams to develop or troubleshoot drug delivery devices, analytical methodology, or manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering equipment and methodology.
- Understanding of GLP/GMP and laboratory safety.
- Full Hep B vaccination.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Familiarity with the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Training in GLP/GMP or ISO 13485 and laboratory safety.
