About the Role

We are seeking an experienced NPI & Product Support Specialist to join our dedicated team at Andy File Associates Limited. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in the successful introduction of new products, ensuring a cost-effective and timely process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Operations, Procurement) to ensure seamless product introduction.
  • Identify and implement process improvements for new products.
  • Plan and oversee new manufacturing processes, ensuring successful transition.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
  • Ensure product and process quality.
  • Develop project timelines and costings for production.
  • Assess tooling requirements and order necessary equipment.
  • Design transfer ownership and produce technical literature.
  • Generate part codes and UDIs.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Facilitate feasibility studies and provide product support on existing lines.
  • Implement design change controls and ensure compliance with product and process standards.
  • Support cost reduction activities and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects using lean methods.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant qualifications, either apprentice-trained or to degree level.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and experience with production process improvement.
  • Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing software, as well as experience working with various materials.
  • Desirable: experience in medical device manufacture, assistive furniture, or postural support products, as well as knowledge of medical device regulations.
