Strongfield is a leading UK-based Aerospace Engineering company dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation and excellence in aerospace systems and technology.

We are seeking a talented Senior Mechanical Design Draughtsperson to join our growing team.

Responsibilities
  • Generate precise engineering drawings from CAD models, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
  • Produce and update 3D models, detail, and assembly drawings, contributing to the comprehensive documentation of designs.
  • Collaborate with engineers to design innovative solutions, considering factors such as cost, quality, schedule, risk, and human factors.
  • Work closely with the Production Engineering Department to ensure manufacturing requirements are seamlessly integrated into designs.
  • Apply your expertise in GD&T and tolerance analysis to create robust and reliable designs.
  • Identify potential clashes and manage Drawing Revision requests effectively, ensuring design integrity throughout the process.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Possess a Mechanical Engineering qualification and a relevant Engineering Apprenticeship, demonstrating your commitment to technical excellence.
  • Exhibit proficiency in 3D CAD modeling and 2D draughting software, showcasing your ability to create detailed and accurate technical drawings.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and various materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with NX 12, Teamcenter 11, and SAP ERP systems is highly advantageous.
  • Possess exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communicate effectively and collaborate seamlessly within a team environment.
