**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mathematics Lecturer to join our team at New College Durham. As a Mathematics Lecturer, you will play a key role in supporting our local region in levelling-up by working with cohorts of learners desperate to gain the maths qualifications they need, whether it be GCSE or Functional Skills.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Teach mathematics lessons to learners of varying abilities and ages
  • Develop and implement engaging and effective lesson plans to meet the needs of learners
  • Assess and provide feedback to learners on their progress
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum plans
  • Contribute to the development of high-quality resources and materials for teaching and learning

**What We Offer**

We offer a supportive and well-led department with autonomy to sequence and plan mathematics lessons to best suit the needs of learners. You will be supported with regular Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and high-quality resources, including iPads and CTouch interactive boards. We are committed to ensuring that staff workload and wellbeing is constantly reviewed.

**Requirements**

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong passion for teaching mathematics and a commitment to supporting learners in achieving their goals. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
