Overview of the Role

The Global Registration and Regulatory Compliance (GRRC) team is responsible for providing regulatory guidance, expertise, and execution for the development of information/dossiers, product registration, and lifecycle management of all SC Johnson products.

In this position, you will support the coordination and execution of regional compliance initiatives for SCJ Pest Control (PC) products in the European market, focusing on essential EU legislation such as BPR, CLP, and REACH. You will specifically coordinate GSARA's contributions to various EU Pest Control projects, identifying dossier requirements and facilitating National Scheme and BPR (Biocidal Products Regulation) product registrations. Participation in projects from other business units may also be necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

You will collaborate with the GRRC team to ensure the timely interpretation and integration of relevant regulatory policies into company procedures, aligning with regional regulatory strategies. Key responsibilities within the PC category include:

Regulatory: Assist the GRRC team in providing product-specific requirements based on a thorough understanding of applicable EU regulations to guarantee compliance for all new products (NPD). Ensure that any new regulations or interpretations are communicated effectively to stakeholders. Maintain compliance for existing products in light of evolving safety, regulatory, and environmental issues, ensuring that changes to legislation are accounted for in the EU PC product portfolios. Project / Pre-launch: Participate in project teams by contributing to project timelines and success criteria, and attending relevant project meetings. Assess project resource needs by determining the level of GSARA resources required and communicating this information to functional leaders. Manage the identification, resolution, and communication of regulatory issues on projects, ensuring early capture and communication of any challenges. Ensure that all projects/formulations are assessed through the PLM system promptly, following the most suitable path for the business. Assist in reviewing and providing input into the Master Graphics label process. Post Launch: Ensure alignment and appropriate escalation of critical issues to the GSARA Management Committee. Collaborate with the Global Registration and Regulatory Compliance (GRRC) team to provide regulatory support for products in the market. Coordinate with the biocides team to maintain compliance with BPR for both existing products and new acquisitions. Support the Project Manager and local compliance experts with any regulatory inquiries or challenges from local authorities, ensuring that all compliance documentation is fully aligned with applicable regulations.

Qualifications:

BSc or MSc degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field (Chemistry, Biology, etc.) is strongly preferred. Proven experience with BPR or PPR. Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures. Strong understanding of compliance requirements across the EU region.

Essential Skills:

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to summarize and convey technical information to diverse audiences both verbally and in writing. Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving projects to completion. Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and a willingness to implement change.
