Our client, a leading engineering and manufacturing business, is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join their team in the Wolverhampton area. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of engineers in the assembly and test department, working on complex hydraulic actuators.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and maintain a culture of health and safety, ensuring adherence to corporate and legal standards.
  2. Build a high-performance team by engaging with team members through visible leadership and regular communication.
  3. Lead the development of production staff, ensuring comprehensive training procedures are in place for all operations and personnel.
  4. Oversee the tactical management of daily operations, focusing on productivity and efficiency to meet daily KPI targets.
  5. Manage cost centre financials and implement cost-saving initiatives aligned with company objectives.
  6. Implement lean manufacturing practices and other relevant methods to improve on-time delivery, reduce lead times, and enhance product quality.
  7. Ensure clear communication, coordination, and collaboration between production and other associated departments.
Qualifications and Requirements
  1. Engineering or Manufacturing Degree, or 5 years of relevant leadership experience.
  2. Leadership experience in manufacturing within the Aerospace, Automotive, or related industries.
  3. Skilled in delegating and efficiently allocating responsibilities to manage projects from start to finish.
  4. Experience in leading Continuous Improvement and Change Management initiatives to enhance on-time delivery.
  5. Proven ability to lead teams and inspire others to achieve goals through innovation, quality, and excellence.
  6. Knowledge and experience with quality management systems, including EASA and AS9100 accreditation.
